Overview
White Foil lies 20 km west of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Open pit production started in early 2002, but stopped in mid-2003 due to excessive saline ground water in the pit. We put the pit back into Phase I production in March 2010. The ore is contract-mined and custom-milled at the nearby Greenfields treatment plant.
Long-Term Potential
As at December 31, 2009, the Phase 1 pit now being mined contained probable reserves of 76,000 ounces, but the overall measured and indicated resource totalled 531,000 ounces. We are looking at the possibility of a Phase 2 that would include the construction of a plant on the property and would maximize recovery of the White Foil resource.

The resources shown include the reserves.
Reported mineral reserves have been calculated in accordance with definitions and guidelines adopted by the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Unlike proven and probable mineral reserves, mineral resources (of all categories) do not have demonstrated economic viability.
In mining operations, measured and indicated resources are considered uneconomic at the price used for reserves calculations.
