Overview
Our 70%-owned Nuba Mountains property is located in central Sudan in the state of South Kordofan, approximately 400 km south-southeast of Khartoum. The property covers approximately 5,960 km2 at the northeastern edge of the Nuba Mountains. Interpreted as the southwestern extension of the highly-prospective Arabian-Nubian Shield and host to La Mancha's Hassaï mine and Nevsun Resources' Bisha mine in Eritrea, this region is fast gaining recognition as one of the world's most promising exploration and mining districts. Tumluk, the best prospect identified on the property to date, has proved to have similarities with the Hassaï mine. A 1,000-metre drilling program on Tumluk is planned for 2011, as well as geophysical surveying to identify new VMS-type targets in other areas of the property.
